Protect damage-sensitive assets from fire with Oxeo Extinguishing System
Oxeo is the future of fire protection!
Viking is proud to introduce the latest enhancements to our Oxeo Extinguishing System, where we have expanded our capabilities and offer a constant flow option in addition to the existing pressure reducing option. The Oxeo system utilizes inert gas extinguishing agents making it environmentally friendly and ideal for a wide range of applications, from data centers to museums. This white paper explores the features, benefits and technical details of the enhanced Oxeo system, and the upcoming digital tool vInert.
Features and Benefits to this Environmentally Friendly Fire Suppression Solution
The Oxeo Extinguishing System's key enhancement is offering a constant flow option in addition to the existing pressure reducing option. This innovation allows for the universal use of schedule 40 low-pressure pipes throughout the system, providing customers with greater flexibility and ease of installation. The Oxeo system utilizes inert gas extinguishing agents, specifically nitrogen (IG-100) or argon (IG-01), which are natural components of ambient air. This environmentally conscious approach ensures zero environmental impact! In addition, the inert gases leave no residue in the protected space.
The versatility of Oxeo makes it an ideal solution for various environments, including data centers, archives, turbines, museums, pharmaceutical storage and police evidence storage. The system's release mechanism is electronic, requiring a detection system and a releasing control panel for efficient operation.
Oxeo holds cULus Listing and FM Approval for the protection of Class A (solid matter), Class B (flammable liquids) and Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires. While argon effectively suppresses Class D fires involving metals, such as those in 3D printing machines, it is important to note that the system is not cULus Listed or FM Approved for this specific class.

vInert is the Future of Oxeo System Design
Viking is excited to announce the upcoming release of vInert, a cutting-edge digital tool designed for Oxeo system calculation. Users begin by selecting argon or nitrogen and decide to use either a constant flow or pressure reducing system. A helpful wizard guides the user through typical design options and aids the user by determining the required design concentration based on the protected Fire Class and system configuration. vInert offers the flexibility to easily protect multiple volumes and simplifies the process of designing multi-zone systems.
As you proceed with the system design, vInert automatically generates a 3D model, providing a visual representation of your system and helps reduce input error. This 3D visualization also allows the user to modify and expand their piping network directly within the viewer. In addition to visualizing the pipe network, the Supply Layout Generator allows the user to configure and preview how their agent cylinders will be stored and arranged.
Stay tuned for more information, including an account request link. Viking remains committed to advancing fire protection technology and ensuring that our customers have the tools they need to design and implement state-of-the-art fire suppression systems.
Sustainable Fire Suppression
The enhancements to the Oxeo Extinguishing System mark a significant step forward in fire protection technology. The addition of a constant flow option, combined with the system's environmentally friendly characteristics and broad application range, positions Oxeo as a premier choice for safeguarding critical environments. As we eagerly anticipate the release of vInert, Viking reaffirms its commitment to innovation and providing customers with cutting-edge solutions for their fire protection needs.
