
About the Program
At Viking, our goal is to create fire protection product training that results in durable learning and lasting knowledge — something achieved through applicable, accessible, and engaging programs. With innovative technologies and training approaches, our state-of-the-art training facility offers cutting-edge approaches to learning, including a variety of immersive labs.
Foam Fire Protection Systems explores the operation and components of fixed foam solutions and fire protection systems. This applications-driven program covers a wide variety of topics including introduction to foam, foam concentrates, system types, foam system components and commissioning systems.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this seminar the attendee will be able to:
- Identify the need for a foam fire protection system in accordance with applicable codes.
- Identify various types of foam systems.
- Identify and describe the operation of the components of foam systems.
- Differentiate between the various types of foam concentrates.
- Describe the design of a foam fire protection system.
- Describe the recommended installation practices.
- Describe the process for all inspection, testing, and maintenance of foam fire protection systems.
Schedule
This program will be held at the Viking Learning Center located at 5150 Beltway Dr SE, Caledonia, MI 49316.
Seminar format will include lectures, activities and hands-on labs and demonstrations. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for each day of the training.
Individuals participating in this training program are strongly encouraged to wear clothing favorable to hands-on training. Closed toe, closed heel and flat sole shoes are required.

- Transitioning Existing Low Expansion Foam Systems
